I am privileged to be a US citizen, born in Utica, NY, and raised in the French section of Canada.  In our early twenties my husband and I followed my parents’ move to south Florida, where we enjoyed being with family once again, raising our daughter Joanne, meeting lots of new friends, and of course, the weather.

In 1990, I started my own company, Computer Insiders, an accounting software consulting business.  Now living in our new home in North Florida, I still work with a number of my clients and enjoy the combination of being semi-retired and still able to be active in my business.

I paint as a hobby – I paint because it provides a ‘vacation’ for me without going anywhere – I paint because it helps me balance my work and play and maintain my sanity.  I derive great pleasure from the life experiences that my painting provides and from the people it brings into my life.

I started painting with acrylics about ten years ago, later discovering pastels and the enjoyment of portraits.  More recently I began working with colored pencil and find it a wonderful challenge-and I like that I can easily travel with my colored pencils.

I am a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA), the Colored Pencil Society of America Chapter District 113 and The Live Oak Artists Guild (LOAG) where I serve as the treasurer.
